1. Role and Purpose of the Committee
The Medical Advisory Committee is a consultative body established by the Association of Private Hospitals with the purpose of supporting the Organization’s Board in:

• Providing medical and professional expertise on healthcare policy matters;

• Analyzing and advising on proposed legal changes affecting the healthcare system and the private healthcare sector;

• Representing the interests of private hospitals in discussions with the government and relevant institutions, in prior coordination with the Board;

• Engaging in public discussions and representing the organization in the media on healthcare issues, in prior coordination with the Board.

2. Duties and Responsibilities

2.1. Advising the Board

• Provides recommendations to the Board regarding legal reforms and healthcare policies that impact the private healthcare sector;

• Analyzes the impact of government decisions and proposes strategies to protect the interests of private hospitals;

• Collaborates with the Board in preparing reports and studies on key healthcare system issues and opportunities for improvement.

2.2. Participation in the Development of Laws and Policies

• Works with government institutions and task forces to contribute to the drafting and amendment of healthcare legislation, in coordination with the Board;

• Represents the Association in designated meetings alongside the Board with the Ministry of Health, the Assembly, and relevant institutions to influence the creation of a fair legal framework for the private sector.

2.3. Public and Media Representation

• Represents the Association in media and public debates on healthcare issues affecting the private sector and patients, if delegated by the Board;

• Provides statements and interviews to inform the public and institutions about the challenges and contributions of private hospitals to the healthcare system.

2.4. Promotion of Healthcare Sector Development

• Proposes initiatives and projects to the Board for improving healthcare services in the private sector;

• Promotes collaboration between private hospitals and public institutions for a more efficient and high-quality healthcare system.

2.5. Meetings and Coordination

• Holds periodic meetings to review and analyze current issues and prepare recommendations for the Organization’s Board;

• Cooperates with other groups within the Association to share information and ensure effective coordination.

3. Committee Structure
The Committee is a supporting body of the Board of ASPKS and must operate in alignment with the Organization’s work plan and policies, as outlined in the ASPKS Statute.

4. Conflict of Interest
The Committee must function in the general interest of the Organization and act on its behalf, rather than for individual interests or those of the private hospitals it represents. It must prioritize the collective interests of all ASPKS members and remain open to consultation and support without discrimination.

This decision enters into force upon signature by the Chairman of the Board, and any dissatisfied parties have the right to appeal or withdraw within five (5) calendar days from the date of receipt of the Decision.
